There are a few fundamental truths we’ve learned from The Peanuts: Never discuss politics or religion. Never underestimate the fury of a woman who’s been cheated out of trick-or-treats. And most importantly, the Great Pumpkin only hides out in the most sincere pumpkin patches. To that end, we’ve compiled a list of the top pumpkin patches, fall farms and apple orchards for a day of autumn fun in Missouri.
Historic Weston Orchard & Vineyard
From May through October you’ll find u-pick produce at Weston Orchard & Vineyard, located in the northwest Missouri town of Weston. Though you can stock up on strawberries, blackberries and peaches earlier in the picking season, fall is the perfect time to plan a trip for apple picking and pumpkins. Weston Orchard offers hayrides, a corn maze, and other activities. After a full day, grownups can raise some spirits with a visit to the Cider Barn & Wine Tasting Area. Eagle Fork Pumpkins
This sprawling farm offers plenty of activities to tucker out your little pumpkin. Explore the corn maze, hop on a hayride, mine for gemstones, hit the corn pit and play area, then grab a snack and do it all again. Just don’t forget to pick out a pumpkin before you go. Liberty Corn Maze & Carolyn’s Pumpkin Patch
Head to Liberty, Missouri, for a day of good old fashioned corny fun. In addition to a massive corn maze, the Liberty Corn Maze also has yard games, swings, silo slides, a zip line and more, as well as fire pits and live music. After navigating your way out of the corn maze, head to Carolyn’s to pick out pumpkins, play mini-golf and feed the animals in the petting barn. Shyrocks Callaway Farms
If you’ve traveled to Columbia from St. Louis via I-70, you’ve no doubt spotted the signature red barn at Shyrocks Callaway Farms near Kingdom City. A corn maze, campfires, a jumping pillow, pumpkins and more make this a popular destination for autumn lovers in mid-Missouri. Find Shyrocks Callaway Farms at 2927 County Road 253, Columbia, MO.
Exeter Corn Maze
Prepare for an a-MAIZE-ing adventure at the Exeter Corn Maze, which opens for the season Sept. 12. Guests can pick pumpkins and apples, race go karts, snap pics in the sunflower field and explore the corn maze. The farm offers several haunted attractions, as well. Hickory Ridge Orchard
Located in mid-Missouri, Hickory Ridge Orchard is the perfect place to stock up on apples for all your fall baking. The farm also offers train rides, hayrides, a corn maze, a jump pillow, games and more, and cider donuts to refuel during your trip. Apple picking starts as early as August at many Missouri orchards, making it a fun kick off to the autumn season.
Perryville Pumpkin Farm
In addition to traditional fall farm activities, Perryville Pumpkin Farm offers Flashlight Saturdays, which include a nighttime hayride, a trip through the corn maze by flashlight and time around the bonfire (watch the website for 2026 Flashlight Friday dates). Bloomsdale Fun Farm
Bloomsdale Fun Farm offers plenty of homespun fun, including pumpkin displays, a corn maze, hayrides, amusement rides, a trackless train and more. Pumpkin Fest kicks off Sept. 26. Bloomsdale Fun Farm is located at 11803 Carron Rd., Bloomsdale, MO.
Faulkner’s Ranch
You’ll find dozens of activities during the annual Pumpkin Festival at Faulkner’s Ranch, including mega slides, pony rides, lawn games and more, as well as locally grown pumpkins, apple cider slushies and pumpkin spice donuts. Faulkner’s Ranch is located at 10600 Raytown Rd., Kansas City, MO.
Centennial Farms
Take in the fall colors on a trip to Centennial Farms. You’ll find this picturesque farm located off a breathtaking stretch of Hwy 94 in the charming town of Augusta. Visit early in the season for apple picking, or wait until late September for pumpkins. Centennial Farms is located at 199 Jackson St., Augusta, MO.

Weston Red Barn Farm
Experience life on a turn-of-the-century working farm at Weston Red Barn Farm. Visitors can see farm animals, visit the pumpkin patch, navigate their way through the corn maze, enjoy a hayride and cool off with a glass of cider. Beggs Family Farm
Beggs Family Farm promises an adventure-packed day. With gemstone mining, pony rides, corn hole, a petting zoo, a jumping pillow, a spider web, games and more, there are too many activities to list here (more than 50, in fact!). You’ll also find the staples, including a pumpkin patch and corn maze. Beggs Family Farm is located at 2319 State Hwy U, Sikeston, MO.
Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival
Every October, the tiny town of Hartsburg in mid-Missouri plays host to one of the state’s most cherished autumn traditions, the Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival. This year’s event is scheduled for Oct. 10-11 and will feature a parade, entertainment, hayrides, a straw maze, a pie eating contest, a variety of vendors, and, of course, a plethora of pumpkins available for purchase.
