Do you have what it takes to brave 13 of the most haunted destinations in Independence?

Visit Independence, the official Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for Independence, Missouri, is inviting fans of the supernatural to explore a different side of the city with its Paranormal Pursuit Passport, a unique gamified scavenger hunt. The adventure, which runs Sept. 23-Nov. 6, highlights 13 local landmarks, where participants can “hear stories passed down through generations, uncover local legends, and learn about the people and events behind some of the city’s most intriguing paranormal tales.”

In addition to experiencing the town’s unique history, participants who visit the destinations and check in along the way will have the opportunity to win prizes, including mugs, t-shirts and embroidered patches.

“Independence has an incredible history, and with that history come generations of stories, legends and unexplained experiences,” said Allison Calvin, Executive Director of Visit Independence. “The Paranormal Pursuit Passport gives visitors a fun, interactive way to discover these stories while encouraging them to explore more of our community and support local attractions and businesses along the way.”
